The Robinsons originate from the Aldbrough area, beginning with Robert Robinson, born circa 1742, who married Mary Thompson at Stanwyck St John on 14 March 1769. Their descendant, Elizabeth Robinson, married William Holroyd at Stockton Registry Office on 31 January 1869.
