Researching Tetlows World-wide

The Marion Tetlow Award is an arts award granted by the Mystic Chamber of Commerce. Marion Hazel Brown was the wife of Tom Tetlow, my third cousin twice removed.

Marion Tetlow is a native of Mystic, and was a manager at a local bank for many years. In addition to raising a large family, she volunteered to be a part of the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival committee. The Mystic Outdoor Art Festival was originally modelled after the famous Washington Square Art Show in New York City. Marion was the chairperson of the art festival committee for approximately 6 or 7 years. The award was named after her to honour her hard work and enthusiasm for the show.

The Marion Tetlow award is for the best work by a local artist. The artist who wins this award receives $350.00.
